User Agreement
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Haralt AS, org. no. 932 530 163 (“Haralt”, “we”), when you rent things from us – whether we drive them to your home, or you pick them up from one of our lockers with the Haralt app. Read them together with our privacy policy.
When you send a request, pay an offer or start a rental in the app, you accept these terms. If anything is unclear, write to us in the chat or at hei@haralt.co.
1. The service
Haralt rents out things – tools, sports gear, electronics and much more – in two ways:
- Delivery: You ask for what you need on haralt.co or in the app. We send you an offer, and once you have paid, we drive the things to your home and collect them again on the day you chose. We deliver within our delivery area in Oslo.
- Lockers: You rent things from a smart locker with the Haralt app, take them with you and return them to the same locker when you are done.
Sections 3–7 and 9 apply to delivery, section 11 to lockers. The rest applies to both.
2. Who can rent
You must be at least 18 to rent. You can order a delivery with your email address; to rent from the lockers you need an account in the app.
You are responsible for the details you give us – name, email, mobile number and address – being correct, and for what happens on your account. You can delete your account at any time: how to delete your account.
3. Request, offer and agreement
In your request you tell us what you need, where it should be delivered, the delivery day and time window, the return day, and whether we collect the things or you return them yourself. A request is not binding.
We reply with an offer by email. The offer shows the things, the price per day, the number of days, shipping, any extras and discounts, and what you will pay. We hold the things for you while the offer is valid – usually 24 hours. The deadline is stated in the offer.
The agreement is binding once you have paid the offer. You get a confirmation by email with a link to the order, where you can see the delivery, the return and what you have paid.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Norwegian kroner (NOK) including VAT. For a delivery you pay:
- Rental: the daily price of each item times the number of days. The number of days is the calendar days from the delivery day to the return day, at least one: delivered on Monday and collected on Wednesday is two days. You can rent for up to 30 days.
- Shipping: NOK 175 per item. Shipping covers both delivery and collection.
- Exact collection time: NOK 49 extra if you choose an exact time instead of a time window.
- Return it yourself: if you bring the things back to our warehouse at Trondheimsveien 184, we take NOK 75 off the price.
- Discount code: see section 10.
You pay everything – the rental for the whole period, shipping and extras, minus any discount – in one payment when you accept the offer. Payment is made by card through Stripe. The card is saved with Stripe so that we can charge for a late return (section 7) and for damage or loss (section 8) without you having to pay again. We never see the card number, only the card brand and the last four digits.
If such a charge does not go through, you get a link by email where you can pay.
5. Delivery
We deliver Monday to Saturday in the time windows 09–12, 12–15 and 15–18. You choose the day and window in your request, and the rental starts on the delivery day.
Someone has to be home to receive the things. Large items may come flat-packed. You get an email when the driver is on the way, and when the things have been delivered.
Until 24 hours before the delivery window starts, you can change the time and address yourself on the order page, free of charge. After that, write to us in the chat or by email.
If we can't deliver – because no one is home, we can't get in or the address is wrong – we contact you and agree a new time, or take the things back to the warehouse.
We may take photos of the things when we deliver them (see section 8).
6. Return
You choose the return day in your request: from the day after delivery, Monday to Saturday. The things must be back on the return day:
- We collect: in the time window you chose (09–12, 12–15 or 15–18), or at the exact time you paid for – the driver then arrives within 15 minutes. Someone has to be home to hand the things to the driver.
- You return them yourself: at the warehouse, Trondheimsveien 184, 0570 Oslo, between 08:00 and 20:00 on the return day.
Until 24 hours before the return window starts, you can switch to another window on the same day yourself, free of charge. To change the day, method or time, write to us in the chat.
The day before the return day you get a reminder by email, and a push notification if you use the app.
Return the things in the same condition as you received them, with all parts and accessories. Follow the instructions if they say something should be cleaned.
A rental can't be extended in the app or on the website. If you need the things for longer, write to us in the chat before the return day and we will agree a new return day. The extra days are then paid as a late return (section 7). If you return early, you don't get money back for the days you didn't use.
7. Late return
If the things are not back on the return day, you pay the daily price of all the items for each extra day. Extra days are counted in calendar days (Norwegian time) from the agreed return day to the day the things are back with us: back the day after is one day. A few hours late on the return day itself costs nothing extra.
If the driver has to make an extra trip to collect the things, you also pay a new shipping fee of NOK 175.
We work out the amount when the things are back, charge it to the card you paid with and send you an email with the number of days and the amount. If the charge does not go through, you get a payment link.
If we don't get the things back within 14 days of the return day, and we can't reach you, we may treat them as lost (section 8).
8. Responsibility for the things, damage and loss
You are responsible for the things from when they are delivered to you until we have collected them or you have returned them at the warehouse. If you rent from a locker, you are responsible from when you take the things out of the locker until they are back. During that time you must:
- use the things with care and for what they are made for, following the instructions and safety rules
- not lend, rent out or sell the things to anyone else
- look after the things so they are not stolen or damaged
- tell us in the chat straight away if something stops working, is damaged or goes missing – and not use anything damaged if it could be dangerous
Normal wear and tear is our responsibility. If an item is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, is missing parts or is lost, we may ask you to cover the cost of repairing it – or, if it can't be repaired or is lost, the cost of getting an equivalent item in the same condition. We never charge more than the actual loss. We don't take a deposit.
We may take photos of the things when we deliver and collect them, and of any damage we find. The photos are documentation for both you and us, and you can see them on your order page. If we find damage, we send you a photo, a description and the amount, and you can give your view before we charge anything. The amount is charged to the card you paid with, or you get a payment link.
If something is wrong with an item when you receive it, tell us in the chat straight away and we will replace it or refund what you couldn't use.
We are not responsible for damage or loss caused by the things being used wrongly or against the instructions, or for indirect loss, unless we have been grossly negligent or acted intentionally. This does not limit your rights under mandatory law.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Before you have paid, you can simply not accept the offer. It expires by itself when the deadline passes, and nothing is charged.
After you have paid, you can cancel free of charge until 24 hours before the delivery window starts. Write to us in the chat or by email, and we cancel the order and refund the full amount to your card. The money reaches your account within 5–10 working days.
After the deadline you can still ask to cancel or change in the chat or by email, but you don't get the money back.
If we have to cancel – for example because an item is damaged or unavailable – we tell you as soon as we can and refund everything you paid for what we can't deliver.
Because the rental is for a specific period and the things are held for you from the moment you pay, the cancellation rules in this section apply instead of a right of withdrawal.
10. Discount codes and campaigns
Discount codes (for example HARALT100) apply to delivery orders on the website and in the app. You enter the code in your request, and the discount is taken off the offer.
- Each code can be used once per email address.
- If a code is for new customers, it only applies if you have not had an order delivered by us before.
- The discount comes off the rental, not shipping or extras, and is never more than the rental costs.
- A code can't be exchanged for cash, and it gives no discount on late returns or other later charges.
- A code may have a validity period and a limited number of uses. If it no longer applies when we make the offer, you get the offer without the discount.
- If you cancel before delivery, or the offer expires, you can use the code again.
We may refuse a discount used against these rules, for example by the same person with several email addresses.
Locker campaigns (for example free hours, a percentage discount or credit) apply on the terms stated in the campaign in the app.
11. Renting from a locker
You rent from the lockers in the Haralt app: choose the item, add a payment card and unlock the locker. The rental starts when you take the item, and ends when you have put it back and ended the rental in the app.
The price is shown in the app: a start fee of NOK 10 and a price per hour, but never more than the daily price for each day. If you return the item within 3 minutes, you don't pay the start fee. If the door doesn't open when you start, we end the rental free of charge. Your card is registered with Stripe when you start, and the amount is charged when you return the item. We don't charge amounts under NOK 3.
Return the item to the same locker you rented it from, clean and with all parts. When you return it, you confirm in the app that everything is there and the item is clean. You are responsible for missing or damaged parts (section 8).
The rental runs until the item is returned. If you don't return it, or forget to end the rental, we may end it, charge what it has cost and claim compensation for the item under section 8.
If you can't open the locker or return the item, write to us in the chat in the app.
12. What we promise you
The things you rent will be in good and safe condition, with the accessories stated in the offer or in the app, and we will deliver and collect at the agreed time. If we don't, tell us in the chat and we will put it right or refund what you didn't get. You also have the rights the law gives you.
13. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Changes apply to requests and rentals from the day they are published here. An order you have already paid follows the terms that applied when you paid. If we make significant changes, we let you know by email or in the app.
15. Force majeure
If we are prevented from delivering by circumstances beyond our control – for example extreme weather, fire, strikes, war, orders from the authorities, or failures at suppliers caused by such circumstances – we are released from liability for as long as the obstacle lasts. You then get your money back for what we could not deliver.
16. Complaints, disputes and governing law
If you are not happy, write to us in the chat or at hei@haralt.co and we will try to find a solution. If we can't agree, you can complain to the Norwegian Consumer Council (forbrukerradet.no).
This agreement is governed by Norwegian law. Disputes are settled by the ordinary courts, with Oslo District Court as the agreed venue, unless the law gives you the right to use the court where you live.
